| Hi. Looking for a bigger bike and sat on the sv650s and loved it. Just wanting to hear comments from owners...does that fairing do anything? can it take two up for short stints? good gas mileage? How comfortable is it on longer runs? thanks very much guys and gals!!

| I love my SV. Powerful enough for two up for short to medium ride. I'm 145lbs and toook my buddy for a short ride, he weighs 210lbs. What a feeling. The SV handled it very well. I find it comfortable, not too agressive but still a sport-type feeling.

| Dastardly villain ![]() | Great bike overall. I love the torque down low. I have ridden 2 up me being 170lbs and my girl being 125lbs for around 5 hours and it isnt bad, acceleration is till good, handling is great. The longest ride I have taken is 8 hours. the only thing that was aching was the throttle hand. That can be solved with cruise control. I can't comment on the lower fairings that are usually aftermarket, but the upper fairings (SV vs. SVS) they cut the wind down drastically.

| The SV can handle 2 up with ease, just bump up your air PSI and you'll do fine. I get about 40-45mpg but if your running it hard expect the lower end. The SV is a very capable beginner to advanced bike and yes there is even and SV Racing circuit because these are very, very, very popular and inexpensive track bikes to race.

| Well fairing on the "S" version does nothing, but give it the sporty look. The other version is the up-right sv650 not the "S". I shaved the seat down on the one I have. Just for a more in the bike feel. It's got an awesome torq. band on it. Does great in low RPM's, and great handling. You can power into turns without slowing down to much and then give more throttle before you even get to the apex of a turn.
