| I have a rim that is dent (on the lip) and doesn't hold air in the front. Would this cause the bike to swerve off to one side everytime you ride? Or would a bent fork do this? I am about to repair a rim but don't know if the cause of swerving is made by a flat tire or bent forks. I know this is asking the obvious but I'm just trying to see if repairing a rim would fix this. Because it is hard to tell right now if my forks are bent or not due to the upper fairing being off position

| A tire with low PSI will cause the bike to shake, shimmy, and otherwise act odd. But if the bike pulls to one side only (such as always to the right) then the forks are bent or out of align. If you hit something hard enough to bend the rim, let alone twist up the fairing, then I am pretty sure your forks are bent or out of align.

| I rode a bike with a big dent in the wheel and a slight buckle, but it held air ok, the bike handled fine apart from the shimmy from the twisted wheel. I only had to ride it about 30 miles to the garage after it was ran over by a blind bloke driving a truck! I think DrBob is right, there is more damage to the bike than a dented wheel.
