I like it, and the blue one is faster than the others so that's even better.

I just got an '05 1000s and the dealer said 5000 rpm until the 600 mi service, then 7500 rpm until the next service. however, this is a constant rpm, they said it was ok to rev it past there but not for extended periods of time. I'm still gentle with mine, dont take it above about 9000 rpm until the first service and make sure to cruise at about 4000 or less for freeway cruising.

use hair drier for the stickers it works like magic.
I tried some can sprays specially desighned for the task but weren't even close to the hair dryer technique.

Actually, the stickers that Suzuki's using now are hair-dryer proof. My buddy's '04 Bandit took a jackhammer to remove them. Mine were easy.

Dear CoolRunnings (great movie BTW),

Can I ask how much you paid for your 1000S. There are a couple left at my local dealer and have been thinking about getting one.

Tx.

The bike looks great. I just got the same one but in red. It's been too cold to ride though and I've been busy with school. I'm praying for a warm new year.

Break-in, don't baby it, but don't run it near redline either, the info is in the manual, but personally I think you should apply 1/2 or more throttle, varying the rpms at all times up to at least 600 miles. I think the biggest thing is not to run it at a steady speed on the freeway for more than a couple of minutes at a time, and never putt around on it like it's a moped or something. You have to seat the rings, and not glaze the cylinder is what I've always been taught about break-in, but at the same time, not running it at wide open throttle until it's completely broken-in.
I don't know for sure if all that is absolutely true, but I've also never had any engine problems from new bikes that I've broken-in that way (such as glazed cylinders or excess oil consumption). But I know for a fact that you shouldn't baby the engine, or just putt around at low rpm or keep it at a steady rpm all the time.
Once you work at scraping the stickers off with your fingernails, or a plastic device of some sort, you can then remove all the leftover glue by taking duct tape, form a length into a loop, put it around your fingers, and press against the leftover glue, then quickly plucking it up, the duct tape adhesive is much stronger than the sticker glue, and it will pull the glue right off, in quick plucks, over and over again until it's all gone. The duct tape glue will not stick to your paint, but it will pull the sticker glue residue off. Takes some effort and a little time, but it works. There will be no sign of the old sticker glue residue left. I've used this method for years and years on all my bikes and it's good.

That picture of your bike sitting in the dark city streets REALLY makes it stand out. Kind of like a black sheep.
