Default Question about my 05 Gixxer 750

Well i just got a new gixxer 750 and i was out riding today tryin to put some miles on the new engine. I put about 70 miles on the bike today and it was my first decent length ride with the new bike. I noticed the the seat tends to get pretty hot ..... which is making the crotch area a little warm and uncomfortable. I didn't notice this on my other bike. I am curious if this was unique to the suzuki gixxers or if there is some problem with my bike?

Thanks for the help guys

Welcome to the forums. How about some info? Where are you? What was the weather like? Does that bike have an undertail exhaust?

I don't have any problems with my crotch getting any warmer than usual when I ride the bike......everyone sweats; especially on hot days with an engine between your legs.

take a shower by the end of the day, who cares, on the other hand it may be somehow stress related, I was sore when started riding my bike for a month. now is like the most comfortable bike ever

What's the temp gauge (I'm assuming the bike has one) sitting at when you're feeling the heat?

My Hayabusa tends to bake the backs of my thighs when I sit in traffic.

As long as the engine isn't overheating, it's a normal thing.

Try wearing some bicycle shorts under your gear - they tend to have a bit more padding, offering some additional insulation against the heat and absorbing more of the perspiration.

I don't think this is an exclusive Suzuki phenomenom. I experienced the "hot seat syndrome" riding my bro's 2000 ZX-9R for extended periods. Like Inspiron said, bicycle shorts would help. Otherwise, I simply got off the bike to stretch and cool myself. Perfect excuse for a smoke too.
