Question Hello from Atlantic Canada

Greetings y'all, new to this forum. I'd better explain why a Honda owner is lurking here.
Last week a buddy, who has no internet, sold his Harley Sportster and bought an '04 GSX600 Katana, he is having a blast. I think he now understands why I have over 30000km on my ST in 2 riding seasons, a bike that is fun to ride gets ridden, he's chalking up the miles.
Anyway, he wants to buy saddlebags for his bike and I figured a forum like this would be a good source of info. Is there bags available for the Katana?
Thanks : Peter

Now which is it? Is he chalking up miles or kilometers? Don't come in here all metric at us and then switch back into normal. It's confusing.

I'm kidding, of course.

Hey Fundyrider. We're getting quite a contingent of Maritimers here. We have Hunter from Moncton, Islander from Riverglade, SilverRay from Moncton, I'm from Riverview. I've also seen a couple of Bluenosers (Nova Scotians) and Gixxer750 is in Red Deer but is originally from PEI. Where do you live? If you're around Moncton, which it sounds by your username, that you are, we have a riding group (all makes welcome) every Monday evening. We meet at Hi-Tech Powersports at 6PM. Come on out! Bring your buddy. Welcome to the forum.

Hey, Peter. While the Kat is a great bike, it doesn't have much of an aftermarket. He'll probably have to go with soft bags like those offered by Chase Harper or Tourmaster.

Check out Dennis Kirk or any motorcycle warehouse.

I was in my early teens when Canada switched to metric, so I'm hardwired for the English system but everything around me is metric but it does suit my split personality

Thanks for the invite, I live in Saint John but I'm often up your way, I hook up with a couple of guys in Moncton for a ride once in a while, we went to the superbike races in N.S. and also did a run down to Advocate Harbour a couple of weeks before that.
I bought my bike from Toys in Moncton.
Hopefully we can hook up for a ride sometime

What's your other personality's name? Do we get to meet him... or her?

I think fundyrider's alternate personality is named "funkyrider." Haha, just kidding, but wouldn't that be cool though? Got a couple of Honda riders here too. Stick around, have fun, and ride safe.

Funkyrider, probably more like Flunkyrider, exiting a ferry, steep incline, thought I was in 1st, nope, 2nd, stalled, rolled back, bad angle, bike on it's side sliding down the pavement Stupid. Thank goodness for the tip over wings, saved the tupperware, $20 for a new wing cover.
My other personality is retarded, his idea of fun is to run half marathons, like thats something a guy in his 50's should be doing. Fundyrunner

Now that's a fundy-mental concept! And the drop while exiting the ferry, happens to the best of us, and not necessarily on the ferry either. I haven't dropped mine yet. Still waiting, and hoping it doesn't.
