Roadliner No Yamaha didn't make something to keep roads clean, it's a Motorcycle.

Default Engine Guard Pictures

Anybody got some pictures of their Roadliner or Strat with engine guards installed?

I am leaning toward the Cobra Fatty Freeway Bars (because of the 1.5" tubing) but have never seen a picture of them on a Roadliner or Strat.
If I buy the Cobra Fatty's I need to specify that on my order for some of Buck's Lowers.

It would be nice to see some pictures of different bars - Yamaha, Lindby, Cobra, and whatever else is out there to make a decision about this. Whatever owner comments pro & con for the different models would be appreciated.

I have another question also.
I am assuming that the guards will serve a utility function because they really don't enhance the "beauty" of the bike - at least to me. They add a certain clunkiness in fact.
Has anyone had any kind of mishap where the engine guards protected the bike to the point where they were glad they had them?
Does anyone have guards that are so comfortable with some of added pegs or something that they use them constantly and wouldn't be without them?
It would be nice to get some honest opinions here because the guards aren't cheap - if they don't serve a great purpose I am going to do without them.

Thanks,

Lance
