that was the basis for my little dig at you-know-who. it's kinda like making fun of the fat kid just cause he got picked last... at least he wants to play, no reason to criticize he just because he plays different.

I did PM him with other info about the subject.. just not worth putting it out in the open. I did find a PDF about the darkside.. but as i said not worth my trouble. I'm not an advocate of it, but i'm also one of those crazy kids on a crotch rocket

Wink Goodyear Tripple Tread 215/60-17

I just wore out my first one on a 'liner.
I got 22,000 miles on it.
I ran 38 -40 psi.
That was too much air.
It wore down the middle.
I could have got maybe 25,000 miles out of it at 32 -36 psi.
It was taller than I like so this week I am putting a 215/55 on her.
I have 39,000 miles on my strat in less than 2 years.

I have 31,000 miles on my Roadliner and I'm still on my second set of Dunlops. I paid $236. bucks for my last set of tires installed. They must see you guys a coming.

Wink Amazing

You must be the mileage king willy.
You should do a Dunlop ad.
That may be a world record.

I get 4,000 on the rear and 8,000 on the front.
Let's see. In 31,000 miles I would use up 4 fronts & 8 rears.
You must have softer roads than we do up here.

I wish that I could get that kind of mileage but I can't !

Well,good for you.
It's a sweet bike that we have and it's good to see that some of us are riding the hell out of it.

Ride safe and often.

Wink Sport

Our tires are sport bike tires on an 800# motorcycle with 123 lb/ft of torque.
They vaporize quickly & I don't light 'em up but I do like to twist the go knob.
ME880's go 8,000 on the rear.
I run an Elite III,Gold Wing 1800 tire on the front and get 15K on it.

as for the ct, i say give it a try. i like mine and i actually ride a liner

Default Dark side sighting

I have read a few post about putting auto tires on a motorcycle. I finally saw one on the back of a Honda VTX1800 today. It looked a little strange to me. I don't think my motorcycle ego would let me do that to my liner.
