Default Passing lights & mirrors and New Pics

Well, my passing lights were back ordered forever. But they finally came in and they look great. I also put some kuryakyn mirrors on it, long stems and helps really give it that WIDE look.

Took some pics at the park.

You can see all the pics here.

Very sweet ride. Wow.

BTW, if you've been thinking about getting rid of that gas tank warning sticker, it's better to do it sooner than later.

No waiting with heat and WD-40. Will take any sticker on the bike off in minutes. The tank sticker peels off easily.

So just spray the WD on the sticker, put a little heat from blow dryer on it.. and thats it?? No paint issues or other hidden potential problems??

The way I do it is (MAKING SURE THAT THE SURFACE IS COOL TO THE TOUCH):

1. Spray the WD40 on the sticker and let it set for about 5 min. (making sure that it's contained and not dripping; make a little circle with a rag or something).
2. Then heat the sticker up with a hair dryer for about 3 minutes (may be shorter or longer depending on the hair dryer). You want the sticker to be pliable (all the while loosening the glue) but not so hot that you can't work with it.
3. Peel up the corner of the sticker and work it slowly from the top left corner to the bottom right corner (I have found that this works best for me). Try and have enough patience to get the sticker off in one piece. If you get stuck in one spot, pause, spritz the spot where you got stuck with a little WD (a little goes a long way), work it in with your finger and continue.
4. Once you have the sticker removed, wipe off residual WD40 with a clean dry cloth (I like to use microfiber).
5. If there is still some of the glue on the tank (or rear fender if you are doing the YAMAHA sticker as well), spray a little WD40 on the spot, let it set for about a minute, and work it off with the cloth.

This is the method that works best for me. I am sure that there are other methods but I find that this ensures that the paint remains 100%.

this is my second, had the same on my valkyrie years ago. I love it. Holds me in the seat better, more like a sport bucket would in a car, and more comfortable. I love the ability of keeping the backrest in the saddle bag, and I can either use it for myself, or pop it in the back for my rider. I only use the big sissy bar on long trips, or with my wife. I mostly ride my kids. I bought my wife a VStar 650 Classic and slowly teaching her how to ride.
