Default Heat

First post. I bought a Midnight Roadliner about a month ago.(500 miles so far) Love the bike. I have 1 problem though. On the left side of the bike I have an extreme heat sensation at stops. It is about 10 times more then I feel from the exhaust side. I would not think this is normal. Any suggestions as to what it might be or what I can check. It may have something to do with were my leg drops as I am 6'5". Not meaning to sound like a whiner on my first post.

Mine does the same thing, but take a look under your gas tank, and how huge those heads are on that 1900cc engine. I actually will ride in shorts sometimes when it is warm, and I can avoid it. You just have to not drop your thigh directly on it. If it really bothers you, you can probably get some chaps to help shield you. A smaller engine would fit better under there, but what good would that be?

I just recently had the gas tank off of mine to put the air kit on, those heads are MASSIVE, and air cooled, so they give off a lot of heat.

Wink Hot

A lot of heat down there.
Ride more - Stop less !
I'm bothered by the exhaust side when I stop but I'm short.

Yep! All the above. When its 80 degrees out. You are in danger of roasting your nuggets. As said previous. Ride more stop less and stay out of stop and go traffic.

Yes, my leg feels hot also when it's hot outside, 85 degrees and up... But mine is on the right side, upper-inner-thigh...I'm a girl, so I just spread out my legs more to keep it away from the bike...Easy fix.....

Knees are neighbors...now that's priceless!

Active...you should have no trouble at all staying out of traffic in Cleremont. Beautiful area. Just stay away from the Leesburg blue hair crowd on 441 and you'll be in good shape. Take your liner up through the Gainesville area...nice ridin up there.

GO GATORS!
