Roadliner No Yamaha didn't make something to keep roads clean, it's a Motorcycle.

Default PCIII USB - O2 sensor disconnect?

Hey there!

I am going to be placing a PCIII USB on my Roadliner (bone stock - 1500 miles) in the coming days...

However, I am reading in the installation that they recommend that I disconnect the O2 sensor so that the PCIII can operate in a wider range.....

Won't this throw a diag code to the ECU? Or, is it even worth disconnecting the O2 sensor in the first place?

I have seen many instances where a PCIII has really smoothed out the mid-range on these machines even when bone stock... Besides, then I will be ready down the road to tune once I go to a different exhaust....

Thoughts?
