Roadliner No Yamaha didn't make something to keep roads clean, it's a Motorcycle.

backfire = bad timing. The spark is happening too early, while the exhaust valve isn't completely shut yet.

When I stopped the pop, I got a skip, between 1500&2000 RPM'S.
I took it 120 miles put it on a dino. The person at the Dion, said the Vance&Hines mapper would never cure the problem.Put a PC111 on it. No back fire and no skip. But I added 3 more hourse power.
My scooter was very rich at idol.

Do you guys think the culprit is this(or lack their of with aftermarket exhaust)? (Air Induction System (AIS) injects fresh oxygen at the exhaust port to insure complete combustion thereby reducing harmful exhaust emissions (HC & CO) while a special air cut valve reduces backfiring when decelerating or coasting off throttle. The exhaust system also features a lightweight titanium EXUP exhaust power valve most commonly found on high performance sport bikes. The EXUP system not only provides crisp throttle response and eliminates 'flat spots" but also improves acceleration and reduces fuel consumption and harmful emissions.) I found this on this site, Total Motorcycle Website - 2006 Yamaha Roadliner

This would have caused a pop before. Then it warmed up, and I can't believe the power this thing has, it was already amazing. But now is smoother, throatier and def a power increase. I wasn't going for power, just wanted it to run well after pipes. It runs great. I think I am going to try to get it on the dyno next week somewhere. BTW, the Fi2000R is stock, no adjustments.

FOlks, if you have a good FUEL MAP....post it here for crying out loud if you're going to brag about it

Here is my "perfect fuel map" which makes my Strato run like a champ, and (no bs!) makes it sounds like a HD =) LOL That happen to be an accidental by-product of my programming the PCIII/USB =)

I created a map which fools the idle control and in turn gives it an authentic HD sound lol

Sorry about your map hope you get it fixed. Who the hell wants a liner to sound like a Harley. How are they going to know what just blew by them?
