I just installed the Cobra Extra Longs today and I think they sound great. I was going to connect the sensor but when the directions from Cobra said not to connect it I figured I would give it a try. I figured it could always be connected after. So far I think it sounds great and I haven't heard one pop or backfire. Hopefully it will continue to run just like this. The installation wasn't that bad either. But then I just finished installing the passing lamps so compared to that install the pipes were a breeze. I had read a few threads where people weren't happy with the set up suggested by Yamaha but I went with their directions and I don't mind both bulbs in the passing lamp coming on while I have them on. Actually I rather have it that way than the second bulb only coming on when the high beams are on as I very seldom use the high beams. I find the low beam and the passing lamps do me just fine. |
