Picking mine up on Wednesday. Traded my 2006 Road Star in on a used low mileage 2006 Roadliner Midnight. I think the Roadliner Midnight is kinda homely, but that goes away when you fire it up. Test ride was amazing! Thought the Road Star was a machine. The Liner will kick it's butt and then some. Looking forward to Wednesday

I have a 2006 S with 3500 miles. I have had it a year. Best bike I have ever had, love it. Here are some pics. Where are all the large pics man? I will try to set it straight.

Finally, Took a week to get a rear tire! It's a great ride! Bought it from www.bobzbikz.com and got a pretty good deal.

Ragboy,
Sweet bike!!! My Roadliner just passed it's 600 mile break in.
I have a couple questions. What pipes do you have? Is the front fender trim the one that Yamaha sells? What bags and seat do you have?

I obviously like what you have done with yours.
I added a license plate frame like yours at a friends house before I even got the bike home.
Thanks,
Chris

The pipes are the cobra longs, for the roadliner. NOT the xtra longs for the strat. The reason I went with the longs, is I read from many that had to cut the xtra longs, because they would scrape. Mine do not scrape, however, because they end under the bags, I get moisture and some soot in that bag, but it has never been a problem.

The chrome trim is from yamaha, the bags are the bags that come with the stratoliner, this bike is the Stratoliner S model, not the Roadliner. I have the Corbin Classic Solo seat and matching passenger seat, ordered black, with stitching, and not studs.

Under the hood, I have the Cobra Fuel module (I think I want to go to the RoadCommander and get it dyno tuned, but not yet), the pipes, and the Patrick Racing Big Air Kit. The BAK made the biggest difference, and I HIGHLY recommend. Just the sound of the bike with it on, you can hear the intake sucking in, like a throaty 4-barrel holley or something, I love it. It is a shame it is hidden under the tank. The BAK is beautiful when you put it on. Good Luck with you bike, and post some pics!

Here is a pic of what the BAK looks like under tank. Its a far cry from that black plastic filter holder.

Disregard the NOS, that isn't part of the kit.

Default New Liner '08

Just purchased my Liner about 3 weeks ago and I haven't stopped smiling yet. I'm of course new to this site and very pleased to see some many more Liner owners here. I LOVE MY BIKE!!!!! My buddy has the M109 and his bike is gorgeous. The first day I purchased my bike we went for a ride on the way back we traded and I rode his. I had ridden his bike but just around the block and back. I must say after riding it for a few miles, I really was thankful that I purchased my Liner.

I purchased a white 2006 Roadliner S 6 days ago with 1900 mile on the odometer. I have put 200 miles on the bike already! I would have riden more but the rain has kept me in the garage. This is the first bike I have owned since '99 when I sold my GSXR600. I cant believe how well this bike handles for a big cruiser!

Default Just joining you all!

I am picking up my 2006 Roadliner S tomorrow.
I am excited, I am trading in my 2001 V-Star 1100 Classic in on it.
I will be wanting to put pipes on it, power commander. Any insight into what works best with these bikes? I was thinking of Samson War Lord 2 Slashers.

Most any exhaust changes will lower the torque. I'm not sure what the slip ons do. The best changes are the air pak and PClll controller. I dialed in at 98 Hp and 118 ft.lbs. of torque on the Dino from the stock 85 hp.. The seats on the stock bike really suck. Plan on getting something else. I have one of the first 06 bikes and have 32,000 miles on it. Its the best and the fastest street cruiser I have ever owned. I'm new to bikes, I have only been riding for 50 years. Most home boys on Harley's won't even think of a run off once they find out what I'm riding. The only complaint I have is in 90 degree days at traffic lights you will roast your right testicle. I'm going to try to make some sort of heat shield. One great bike.

Willie, lemme tell you about roasting nuts! I was stuck on I-95 for 6 hours during summer, while going from VA to NY to see my family. Man, I turned that thing off every 10-15 minutes because the heat was getting downright nutty

I run my bikes on full-synthetics (which means they run MUCH cooler then on regular oils due to highly decreased friction). However, even then my a$$ was sweating like a fat kid during a walk-a-thon.

I tell you hwhat...I'm getting another dog gone under-the-fuel tank heatshield, cuttin' it up and installin' that summab1tch right over that oil-tank and under the seat!
