| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | Well today I was fortunate enough to get to meet another member of the forum as I have done in the past. So far to date I have met Intimid8er, EverettKeith, and I will be meeting Pinhy at Biketoberfest(possibly earlier). So yesterday I decided that today would be a good ride. I called my friend and let him know to ride up here from Macon (he gets the long haul award for the day). He came up last night and I decided to start calling people that I remember was in the area. I emailed Smurf, Wracing, and I called EverettKeith. Wracing called me back and we set it up for this morning. EverettKeith was going to ride but suddenly came down with a case of Brokdishwasheritis. So unfortunately he could not make it. Wracing (Willie) brought along his good friend and I brought along mine. I also called my Mom's Cousin's Husband (Roger) and invited him as well. I thought the more the merrier. So including myself we had five bikes on the ride today. I had my VL1500LC, my friend had his Kawasaki Meanstreak 1500, Roger rode his Honda Shadow Spirit 1100, Willie rode his Boulevard S83, and his friend rode a Harley Dynaglide. So the Zukis showed for the best turnout!!!! We had an initial 50 miles to ride to meet them, then the route we planned took us about another 180 miles back to the same area we started in. Lots of scenery and open road. We even rode through the University of Georgia fraternity house section of town while we was ripping it up going through there,, ah yes,, the sound of thunder!!!! We stopped at the Varsity (well known place in Atlanta and in Athens) to fill the bellies and it was off again. LOTS OF GOOD LOOKING GIRLS there!!!!! I wish I was in college,, I will make dang sure my kid goes to college!!!!! I will have to say that Willie and Roger did a pretty good job of holding the reins of the "H**ny Monster" from attacking. Boy it took all I had not to go insane there,,, Willie (Wracing) took many, many pics with his digital camera,, in fact so many that his memory card became full before we could actually get his pic. We should change his title to "Photo Elusive". All in all I had a great time and I know they had a great time as well. With just a little planning and making some phone calls,, something like this is a perfect way to meet new friends, meet fellow forum members, and just enjoy doing what we all like to do,,, and that is ride on!!!!!! Great to meet them all and I am looking forward to riding with them again!!!

| That's a cool story. I think it's really neat putting a face and a voice with a (user)name. Personally I've met Hunter (Brad) and Islander (Allan) and his wife (Faye). All three are really nice people.

| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | I am trying to get a Labor Day weekend get together in Florida. It is about a five hour ride for me but much closer for the rest. Hopefully it will materialize. So far I have about five people committed and maybe more to come. I think this is a great way to meet people that enjoy riding. I know we all had that ear to ear grin going ALL DAY yesterday. Maybe soon we could arrange a new type of Sturgis,, call it SuzukGis or something in the middle of the country!!!

| I have a crazy schedule but if you ever want to come up north (chattanooga way), let me know and I can maybe ride on a Saturday. Weekday's I'm in Nashville most of the time. The longest I have ridden so far is 150 miles but I would like to do some longer trips but would probably have to keep it to a single day.

You could come up for the weekend or just for a day or so. PM or email me or Pinhy or Road Mama. So far this is a go and we are committed to doing this. There are others from here interested in going as well but have not gotten confirmation on it yet. We'd love for you to come hang out with us and ride with us. You shouldn't have to ride by yourself!!!! Let me know!!!
