| I have seen many accidents and about five motorcycle accidentd that were fatal. One of them would have been alright if they had worn a helmet. The other four the helmet did not help. In fact, one of then the helmet actualy caused the fatality, by stragulation when it became wedged in a tree limb. That does not happen often. But helmets do keep your head intact when sliding down a highway and eating pavement. I have rode with out helmets but perfer to have one. Yeh the wind and bugs in your hair is cool, but on my balding head, sunburn is not fun. I admit in traffic jambs helmet are hot, and I may decide to for go a helmet at a bike week cruse where it is allowed, nd where I will reach a grand speed of 5 mph best. I have done this before, and when it takes you an hour to ride 1 mile, heat is a problem. Thank you Mr. Suzuki for water cooling. Besides, helmet decorations and stickers look so much better on a helmet then on your head.
