My wife and I were heading to our Monday night ride club and were just about to pull in to our meeting place. Now to paint a picture, we were riding along a quiet industrial park street (evening) approaching the parking lot. There was a side street just before said parking lot, so I hit the signal light just as I was passing the side street on THE RIGHT so that it would be obvious that I was not turning in that street. As I was slowing to take the RIGHT turn into the lot, some jerk passed me on the inside (right side)  . If I was alone I definitely would have turned much quicker and he would have hit me. Never take head checks and mirror checks for granted, even on the shoulder side of the road.Lived to ride another day!!!! |
