So I had a roller coaster Friday. I had my road test scheduled for 11AM. I hadn't been practicing my figure 8's, so I went out Thur night. I was really rusty, so I practiced like 2 hours till I had it down. I was able to do a dozen back to back with no problems, and felt comfortable doing it. So I get up Friday morning, and my dad is coming to take me down for the test. I decide to go out for like a quick 15-20 figure 8 session right before I go. I was still doing good, then all of a sudden in mid turn the bike goes down. It hit hard completely in the middle of the road. First time I ever dropped it. It busted my windshield in half and cracked the plastic piece where my rear blinker mounts. I was sick when I picked it back up, but the paint and everything else was not touched. My clutch lever got a little ding too. Not a good thing to happen an hour before my test. So I pick the bike up and get it to the side of the road. I couldnt get it to go in neutral, it was stuck in a gear (probably 2nd or 3rd) cause it would hardly take off. Finally I rocked it a few times and it fixed. I got back on and kept practicing but felt extremely gun shy. It was a back road that had a little gravel here and there, think I got into some. I have a school parking lot a mile and a half from my house, but I was being responsible and not going there without a licensed driver. So an hour later I go down and still pass the road test. I bought a replacement windhield for $30 then I should be good to go again.
