Default Wrecked (Again, come-ON)

Basically, today i just learned how to jump.
Me and my friend (4-wheeler) were going back down the trails to his truck. I see him way out front speed up and take a spectacular jump. I do the same, only to realize about 2 feet infront of the jump that he had to slam on the brakes and skid steer to not go off this embankment. As soon as i hit the air i thought the exact words "Awww MAAAAN!" and hit the ground brakes locked, i had to dump it basically. At that speed i think the bike rolled over me. Me myself rolled about 10 feet and slid another 5. First thought in my head "I hope my shoe didnt come off..." second thought: "Nuuuuuu! They dont make parts for this bike!"
In actuality, its ok, dusty, scraped a few things broken: Headlight bent waaaay over to the right, the front brake handle and clamp seperated, and my mirror got scratched. Also the spedometer blister was shattered almost completely.
As for me, thank *GOD* for my pads, i looked at the left elbow pad, its completely scraped up. I think my ankle is strained also, kinda swollen, hard to walk on, no colors though.
I guess i came out ok, ive thought and rethought what happened, and other than stopping and scouting out the landing, theres nothing really i could have done. Tiny miscalculation amplified by increased speed and dust in the air.
Moral of the story: Get pads, theres no freakin way you can predict everything.
