| Just like anything else, You can spend too much for junk or get a great deal on great stuff. A good helmet will run you from $150 to ????. Gloves starting around $40 Jackets: so many variations but around $250 on up. I would suggest buying your equipment where you can try it on for fit. Fit on everything is of upmost importance. Yes you can save money if you mail order or order online, but if it does not fit properly it will be a hassle. You could try it somewhere and then order your stuff cheaper somewhere else but it may not fit the same. The prices above are probably lower end of the price scale but not garbage.

| A helmet that fits great but cost $100 will protect better than a $1000 helmet that doesn't fit as well. As for the gloves, depends on what you want. Armored gloves or just plain riding gloves? As for jackets, there are excellent textile jackets out there but remember that in a sliding scenario, leather will protect you on the longest slides... P.S.: Please don't post with your CAPS LOCK on.
