| If you can turn a figure 8 in half of a typical residential street (without touching your feet to the ground), and come to a quick stop from 30 mph without dumping it, you'll ace the test. Make sure you have the appropriate gear on test day.

| Who ever sold you the Motocycle insurance originally had to tell the insurance company you already had a motocycle license. I would call the agent and see if they will wait until 4-13 when you take the course. Most insurance companies would agree to that. In IL if you take a State sponsered class you don't have to take the written or driving test, just walk in with the Certificate showing you passed the class and they issue the licensed. Emergency stops, practice this. In IL the don't care if you slide or skreach to a stop as long as you can stop within the allowed time. It's good to practice slow turns without putting your feet down. Good Luck Irwin

| It's not the US test but have a look at the Québec's test. This is what I had to go through. Very good exercise anyway. http://www3.sympatico.ca/savardl/circuit/index.html

| I practiced a figure 8 in a parking lot using four parking spaces then worked to cut it down. The actual figure 8 in Maryland is two connected 15 foot circles. In my test I had to accelerate get into third gear and stop in 200 feet. I blew this by ten feet but was let off because I used a 250, and looked at the tester and said it will not accelerate that fast. He shrugged and passed me. The only other recomendations I could make would just repeat prior posts. Good luck. Also, a quick note, you may want to check out Bikeline.com. I knocked over $100 off my insurance costs by switching to this company. It could be worth a check.
