| Just had my first trackday, it was AWESOME! 3 sessions in the intermediate group. First session my slowest time was 1:45, Fastest was 1:40 Second session my slowest was 1:39, Fastest was 1:35 Third session my slowest was -read below- Fastest was 1:32 These times were a steady increase, slowest at the start of the session and gradually getting better towards the end. Third session slowest is really long because I had a mishap. I was leading my group and went into a corner a little too hot, went onto the rumble strip but the bike was trying to go wider, so I went onto the grass, all was ok until I realised I was heading for a concrete distance marker about 12" high, so I had a split second to decide what to do, hit the marker or drop the bike. I dropped it, then when the marshall helped me pick it up I realised the concrete marker was actually made of polystyrene and I could of gone straight through it! I have never been on the track before so how was I to know what they were made of? Ha Ha! No damage to me, damage to bike is ok, I just snapped the gear selector when it dug in. Looking forward to my next trackday, they are brilliant!!

Found it a bit un-nerving when my toe slider touched down though, that never happens on the road!

| Isn't it nice dropping the knee into a corner knowing there isn't a cage rolling the other direction?

| One of the things that I find to be the most unsettling is road surface. On a track, you've walked it out before you ride and I feel like that action instills a degree of confidence in traction that is unequalled. Like Rowdy, I can't wait until I have the time/money to start doing track days.
