Default Hey watch this!

What are some of the stupidest things you have seen someone do...on a motorcycle?

I saw a guy going down the Interstate about 80mph on an old school bike. Looked like an older intruder with a high sissy bar. Anyway he was stretched out, no helmet and he was sitting on the PASSANGER SEAT!!! He was leaning over like he was riding a Gixxer!!!

Then tonight on the way home I saw a guy riding down a busy 4 lane highway going about 65 carrying what looked like a 10 foot shiny metal pole.

I saw some really cool Harley biker dudes today. They had big ol forward controls and were kicked back with novelty helmets all the noise, leather, etc etc that goes with the HD LifeStyle. They also couldn't take big sweeping 30 mph corners without drifting over the center line! Buy hey they're cool.

I had a kid pull alongside of me on a Gixxer, hop up on the handlebars, and pop a wheelie.

I was impressed . . . hoping he'd lose it, but impressed.

I was driving on the interstate with my wife one day and some guy on a crotch rocket starts to show off. I noticed him turn around and place his right hand on the passenger seat of the bike. At first I thought he was just doing some kind of weird stretch. I guess he noticed us looking at him and wondering what the hell he was doing, so he gets over directly in front of us and turns around on the bike, facing us while he was driving. He did that for about 30 seconds. Then I guess he got bored, so he moved back into the left lane and rode a wheelie for about 5 seconds. Then he shot off like a rocket.

He he he...he taped the pizza box to the back of his bike, so that he could bring me the leftovers!!

PLUS, he has been known to, on a regular basis, carry home a gallon of milk by balancing it between the gas tank and the handlebars...

But my favorite...he managaed to put a case of my favorite beer bottles in his bike bag (strapped on his back), and carry a case of his favorite beer sitting on his gas tank the some 2 miles from the liquor store to my house!!

talented young man, he is!!

When I had my gz250. I went to the sporting goods store and bought a compound bow and some arrows. Strapped em to my passenger seat and away I went.

Actually, SG1's story reminds me of last Sunday morning!!!

My wife is a coke-head. She can't wake up without her coke . . . -acola that is.

Sunday morning, we were without coca-cola, so I went to the store to get her some. Mistake. They were running the annual triathlon at the park, which screws up traffic.

Now, I made it to the store fine. A little bit of traffic disruption, but nothing like the ride home. The ride there took 10 minutes (instead of the usual 5). The ride home took about 35 minutes, due to the ignorant cops holding up traffic . . . then allowing you to only go in one direction (even though other cars coming from other streets were allowed to go where I couldn't??? ) . . . where you were promptly turned around by the next cop, to return to basically nowhere again. Sounds confusing because it is.

So, I get to the store and they have a sale on 12-packs, 3 for $8. Well, my backpack would only hold two of these things, so I balanced the other one kind of between my chest and the tank (I have an '02 Bandit) . . . then rode around for 30+ minutes, making u-turns, etc.

I cursed a cop the last time I had to turn around (and drive over a mile out of the way to get to my house that was right around the freaking corner ) and gunned it. I'm waiting on the deputies to come get me at work if the guy decided to push it and go to the judge with a wreckless driving warrant. No chit.

The day of the big power outage a couple of summers ago I was sent out for "supplies". Traffic was gridlocked. I had the lane-splitting, shoulder riding Sportster. I ended up utilizing my BCE degree (bungee-cord engineering) to carry the following:

- Two 2-liter bottles Mt. Dew
- Three 750 ml bottles Absolut
- Three cartons Salem 100 Full Flavor
- One carton Lucky Strike cigarettes (I have since quit the foul habit)

We survived the outage.

Uh... rode around with two cylinders gone and the other two on by a thread with no water cooling the engine. Yea, that's the best I can contribute.

Edit: Oops, "what someone else did." I guess I saw myself doing something bad.

Growing up in Daytona and not living too far from the beach, I would take my surfboard and hold it between my elbows and thighs while riding my GPZ 550. I had to make sure I was in the middle of the lane or someone would take out my fins or nose and then me while they were at it. I would try and slowly creep up to the red light as not to have to put my foot down and pray the light turned green soon. Dumb dumb little surfer boy.
