|  Gear Suggestions
The shop where Im getting my bike, is giving a discount of any gear that I purchase. Unfortunately, they only deal with Joe Rocket, Icon, Power Trip, Fieldsheer. They are getting rid of Fieldsheer, because alot of people complain of them falling apart. Also, the selection in the shop isn't all that great, so whatever I get I have to order. What Im looking for in my first jacket/pants purchase: 1. Mesh outer, with available thermal liners (For those hot S. Florida days, & cool nights) 2. Padded in needed areas 3. Some form of built in waterproofing (For those S. Florida rains) 4. Black with Reflective striping I've narrowed my search down to Joe Rocket Jacket: Meteor 5.0 Jacket Pants: Ballistic 5.0 Pant Power Trip Jacket: Dakota Jacket Pants: Dakota Overpant The Power Trip gear is ok, but I dont like the idea of the lack of padding in the pants, and the lack of zippered connection between the pants & jacket. The Joe Rocket gear is ok, as long as it doesn't scream "crotch rocket", from which the pics on their site, it doesn't seem like they do. Does anyone have any personal experience with these brands/models? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
