Talking Newbie, but an oldie... UPDATE!

Well, in my first post I told you all I had bought the C50T and would pick it up on Wednesday. Well, I went shopping today and picked out a helmet and new jacket. The bike was all ready to go, so what the heck, let's light this candle!

They went over everything with me. Operation, controls, etc.... The one thing that concerned me the most was the heel - toe shifter. I had never dealt with a beast like that before. Haha

Anyway, I said "Let me get going before I change my mind!" So, I was off and running.......in first gear....Haha, thinking the whole time, throttle, clutch, heel to shift to second. It worked just fine! Then third, fourth and fifth in a nice smooth succession! I am now doing about 60 with my off ramp coming up. A few smooth downshifts and next thing I knew I was at the stop sign with both feet on the ground! No one behind me, I sat for a moment and thought to myself, hey, this is just like riding a bike! LMAO

I rode, uneventfully, down to my wifes work to show off my new toy. She liked it and the other girls instantly wanted me! Okay, maybe just a couple of 'em...

I then headed home. Again, a nice smooth ride. Now I was pretty comfortable, except I gotta remember to turn that darn turn signal off!

I pulled into the driveway at the house and shut her down! Wow, what a great 25 miles I just put on my NEW bike! I love it. I had to get my daughters ATV out of the newly designated "CRUISER PARKING" spot in the garage. Once my spot was cleared, I turned her around and slowly backed her into the garage before that rain cloud ruined that show room gloss look.

NEXT, you're not gonna believe this, I back her into too close to the workbench and snap off the left rear turn signal! AHHHHH! LMAO

That was a tough lesson to learn, but I guarantee it will never happen again!

But seriously, I can't wait to get out get some more miles on the bike. What a great ride!

Well, sorry for being so long winded, but I could resist building up the story before telling you all that I broke the turn signal off! LMAO

Thanks again all,

Rich J
