Default Tire mounting in Minnesota?

I know several of you are from the Minneapolis area, so I thought I'd ask. I'll be buying a set of Avon 45/46's soon and will need wheel-off mounting by a shop that won't mount them backward or mangle my wheels.

Thanks!

Hey Rowdy, I suggest Motoprimo. Those guys know what their doing.

The one that I go to is located at:

2610 E 32nd St
Minneapolis, MN 55406

Phone # 612-729-7200

I'd suggest giving them a call first...

Oh, there's also Midwest Cycle Supply
Located:

4300 Nicollet Ave
Minneapolis, MN 55409
Ph: 612.825.9774

I've only gone there one time, I wasn't as happy with them as Motoprimo, but many other people swear by that shop too...

Cool. Thanks. I was at MotoPrimo once for an open house. It sure blows away the local stealers. They actually had motorcycle enthusiasts rather than failed salesman in the store.

Yeah, totally! They also have ongoing test ride sessions for their bikes during their open houses, which is totally cool too!! We know a lot of the guys that work there, and we usually stop in almost every time we go riding to look around and chat. They're all cool.

If you give them a call, ask for Dwayne...he's not in parts anymore, I think he's the accessories manager, but he'll give it to you straight. You can tell him that you know me (ReGina) if you want. I don't think it'll get you a better deal, but...you never know!

You know, I had the same thought. I wondered if it had gotten really cold and lonely this winter in Minnesota.

Rowdy, If your tires are already off the bike go to Midwest on 43rd and Nicolette. Motoprimo is really busy and you will have to drop off you tires. Midwest will almost always (every time I go) get your tires on in about 45 to 60 min. There is a coffee shop across the street you can wait at. Also If you don't have tires already they have always had something I liked in stock for my bike. Just don't let them do any motor work on your bike, they are not my favorite. I've had about a dozen tires mounted by them with no problem.

On another not do you know about the Defrost Your Nuts ride on Sat.? ask SG! for details, she'll be online. I'm going riding today.

Yeah, the Nuts ride is tomorrow, should be super fun!

Let me know if you're going to be around Rowdy and if you want to go...otherwise, next Saturday is the "Flood Run", which I think is even a BETTER ride, goes into Wisconsin along the river...some really nice twisties along the way! Let me know if you're interested in info about that.

See! For every one there's six nice people. At least someone offered some assistance!

Hey, psycho, we're not getting back together. Now get out of my Van Halen t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up.
