This IS a great post! I'm glad somebody dug it up from all these threads!

My favorites.

>Don't lead the pack if you don't know where you're going.

Well, that's me. I have a TERRIBLE sense of direction. So I NEVER lead the pack. Even if I wanted to, they won't let me.

>Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.

Yes!! That's why I keep taking riding courses! I have this strong belief that even if things seem repetitive, there's always something you can't do well or can do better, and there's always more to learn. I like this one!

>A motorcycle can't sing on the streets of a city.

This is soooooooo beautiful!
AND so true!

>A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover.

Ummm.... I sort of like this too. Hehehe.

two of my favourites, must admit years ago not heeding the second one, when on a camping weekend, dropped down into the village from the camp site had few to many, so rather than ride bike along the lanes to the camp site a couple of us just went for it and rode over the top of the mountain in the dark off the road riding at night next morning when we walked the route we had taken, no one was prepared to attempt is sober, after looking at one point with the track less than a foot wide and 300 feet drop down the side of it

more with Classic bikes in mind...

people know your talking to them when the plastic window is to the front.

your 4 year old knows the difference between a T100 and a ZZR.

washing, polishing, and drying is never a problem until somebody mentions dishes.

your right gear change boot stopped wearing out in 1976 and then it was your left boots turn.

the last watch you ever owned followed the first ride on a classic bike.

the pain of kickback doesn’t bother you.

you have developed a permanent limp.

your toolkit is a clutch cable, a head gasket and a portable welder.

you cry in the movie Magnum Force at the moment
when David Soul rides off the end of a aircraft carrier into the sea.

You laughed when it happened on Qaudraphenia.

your wife owns a trailer.

your always shaking hands, even when no ones about.

your girlfriend never needed a vibrator.

your metric socket set is still in a wrapper.

you have on your phone speed dial, breakdown, parts dept.

you have shares in castrol

riding at breakneck speed to achieve a land speed record you focus on the oil light instead of the road ahead.

your boots have that shiny black wet look.

your w.o.f checks only cost you 4 new indicator bulbs.

you ask at the mental asylum for help with the clutch repair.

a shiny parcelgrid , low bars, and bathtub fairing hang from your rafters awaiting sellup day.

20/50 is not a television program.

you always have a mysterious contented smile that owners of other makes of motorcycles have never come to grips with.

The time to brag about your riding skills is AFTER you have beaten the others.

If it can't take a bump or sit in the rain. I don't need it.
