Newbie with new DL-650 V-Strom - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

Hello Everybody,

I've been lurking around the forums and decided to say hi. I just bought a new '05 DL-650 V-Strom. It's my first street bike. Previously I had some dirt bike riding experience, but not much. So I decided to take the MSF course at a local college. It was well worth the time and money. Learned a lot of proper riding techniques. I currently have a learners permit and now I'm waiting for the paperwork to come in the mail from MSF so I can send away for my full M1 license.
Now I just need to practice, practice, practice...

Glad to hear about the MSF, it was your best option. Be careful and do keep visiting us to let us know your feedback on the VStrom and just for fun of course.

Hell yeah! I looked at the v-stroms. But would like to hear others opinions on them. Anywho welcome to the forums

I really like this bike so far. Once I get comfortable with it, I want to do some canyon riding. I'll keep you guys informed as I gain experience. And I'm sure I'll have some questions later on.
