Unhappy @#$%^ stickers!

I've got a one week old C50. It's great to ride and sharp to boot.
Only problem is the ^%*&*^$$ gas tank sticker. I've removed the plastic from it and still can't get it off. I've tried the "goo" stuff and WD40 and nothing works. Perhaps I'm not leaving it on long enough but I'm concerned with damaging the paint.

Others must have run into this. How do I get it off without scratching or otherwise damaging the paint?

Thanks,
Suzuki new guy!

Goo-gone, a hair dryer, and your thumbnail or a credit card. Don't get it too hot.

I don't remember mine being that bad, but we just did my buddy's new Bandit, and uggh!

Do a search for Sticker removal on this forum. There's a few threads on the topic but I'm too lazy to do it for you

i started to do mine, got the clear part off and one corner is messed up now...then i remembered i am getting a whole new tank in a couple weeks (scratch on it when i picked it up at dealer) so i am just leaving it alone. but i could tell it wont be easy.

once the sticker is off, then wd40 takes off the glue residue easily and safely

wd40 , hairdryer, Bic pen case ( soft white one )cut it with a razer blade at an 45 angle, use the edge to scrape it off. The plastic is sharp, yet it is soft so it will not scratch the tank. Works better then your finger nail.

Thanks for all the input. In the end I used Goo Gone, a plastic scraper and a lot of effort (about 1 hour total). The sticker came off and the paint job is fine. A little wax and it's as good as new. Change that; better then new without the sticker.
I guess that you can thank a lawyer for that sticker.
