Default Spring time bike additions...

So what are you adding to your bike for the spring?

Getting a new bike?

New gear?

I'm debating on the power commander, sportech windscreen, and exhaust.

I'm thinking about getting a 17 tooth sprocket for my '03 Marauder....and maybe a tach later. One think I DEFINITELY need is a tinted face shield.

I have a Holeshot pipe and jet kit in the mail. 3 years stock is too long.

Need a new rear tire. Saw some neat new gloves at new enough today, I think I might have to get myself a pair (seeing as I've not broken in my last pair.)

My butt.

I'll also put on those Tsukayu fiberglass bags that have been in my garage for several months now, and the Drag Specialties tach that's also sitting out there.

I've already spent to much money already but the 7500 tune up is need, currently at 8700 miles. And I just picked up a 4' Motrax Hexagon chain with shackle and some new bar end sliders tonight. The local cycle gear shop was having an after hours 10% sale tonight so what the hell it's only money.

Put my tinted windscreen on a couple weeks ago. Need to get around to putting on the fender eliminator kit.
Seriously thinking about getting a Scorpion helmet. Want a new leather jacket, too.

New Mirrors on the way. I just got a new Leather Jacket on the weekend. I would like to get a windscreen and front and rear fender chrome tips.

Hmmm...well, I have managed to put 5,000+ miles on my 'daily driver' Intruder just since the first of the year, so I guess I'll need to stop riding for a weekend and get caught up on the maintenance. Man, I just bought it in October and have put over 10,000 miles on it already. Oil, filter, plugs, a valve adjustment check, new front brake line (stainless), and new Metzeler tires are sitting in the other room and will be taken care of this weekend. Sometime before spring I am also going to strip off the clear coat from the aluminum fork lowers, master cylinders, and switch boxes and buff them out so they shine like chrome.
As for mods, LED plate bolt lights will be wired up as additional brake lights, and I was thinking about ordering about 12 of those new 5-LED step lights and making the bike glow blue at night.
For the Intruder chopper, a new hard tail frame is on order, along with some 8-inch over forks. But it will probably be spring 2006 before it gets all together and back on the road.

blue lights are illegal in most states (along with red)....

any link to a good place to order lights? i was at a night show this weekend and MAN just a couple sets of lights (like 3 bulbs in a plastic clip, 2 clips on each side under the fenders) on each side make it look like there are about 20 there!!

New boots should be in any day now. One set of gloves from New Enough arrived yesterday, the others should be here tomorrow. Thinking of adding a backrest for the pillion, and saddlebags.

Oh, and since SDSU reminded me of it, I'm looking for a holster for my Sig that is better concealable and more comfortable when riding.
(Hey LayinLo - have you been by Tactical Supply on Wetumpka Highway? Are they worth the drive over?)

Love my Siggy. It's right up there with my AmEx... I don't leave home without it

[Just noticed.. JayDog's from Lake George... I was up there for a few days about 2 years ago... nice place. Cold. Was snowing on Halloween. But nice. Area reminded me alot of the NC mountains where I grew up. ]
