Default Removing The Baffles = Question????

I have Brand new 2004 800 Marauder with 600km on it. It is really hard to hear the bike when you drive. I love the look of the stock pipes. I have looked at other pipes but I still like the look of the ones I have. If I look at the back end of the pipes there are three rivets that can be drilled out to remove the baffles. I would think that if iI do this I will need to rejet the carbs so I dont burn the Valves. Is there any other options I can can consider so I can keep my stock pipes but get more noise out of them with out ruining my bike?

You guys and your searches. Is this a forum or Google. Sounds like when you asked your mommy what a word meant and she said "go look it up"
If you don't have time to answer the question move along.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I did answer the question - by supplying four threads worth of information. What the hell do you want??

It's standard forum ettiquette. Users don't want information diluted into sixty-three threads. Moderators don't want to deal with sixty-three times as many threads as necessary. Owners don't want a hosting bill that's sixty-three times as large.

Here's a refresher.

Show some consideration. If you don't have time to check whether a subject has been repeatedly covered, move along.

p.s. Your mother did you a favor.

Why don't tell the noobs to use the search when they ask about a new bike. Because that would be no fun... we all like the
So there's four threads covering de-baffling a Volusia, a C50, an intruder. Give someone the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's different for a marauder. Also there were four threads and you never posted in any.
I didn't want to get you upset I just wondered why you told him to do a search when Inspiron sent him to a step by step procedure (that , I don't think was covered in any of the other four threads BTW). Maybe it should be standard forum ettiquette to shoot someone a PM explaining the search option sans sarcasm. Just my 1.6 cents = 2 cents cnd Have a great Monday.

Inspiron's reply looked like an extremely useful link, and the poster obviously thought so too.

Why don't you apply to be a moderator so you can decide what content is valuable and what isn't. Whether YOU deemed my input helpful or not is irrelevant. I think it was.

I apologize for the ugly turn this thread made, but in any other established forum these rules of ettiquette are fairly strictly enforced, and with good reason. Everyone benefits from a tidy database.

Talking Really I Would Have Never Known

RowdyRed94, This is Little Billy as per your link.

Yes I must agree that the SEARCH button is a great thing and has been very help overy the years

I am curious, have you tried to do a search on "Marauder Baffle Removal" in this site

I was only able to find results that came up with other bikes but nothing on Marauder.

I would not want to do some to a BRAND NEW SUZUKI MARAUDER with only 600km on it especially if it was meant to be done on an other bike like maybe a "twothousandtwobandit1200s" or that some one had tried on an other bike like at 'twothousandtwobandit1200" but had not tried out on a BRAND NEW 2004 SUZUKI MARAUDER with only 600km on it.

I would feel really bad if I gave someone information on how to fix or adjust something that may ruin a BRAND NEW 2004 SUZUKI MARAUDER with ONLY 600km on it.

I did however do a search on "Ignorant Dumb @$$" and every search result pointed back to you.

If I recall You have a 1998 Skidoo Formula Z 583. You should join thier chat or take it for a ride on the Beartooth Highway. I hear it will change you.

PS: I almost forgot

yeah wowza indeed!! wait till Rowdy reads that one....the shizit is going to hit the fan!!!!

though i do agree with the CONCEPT of what Hunter posted, i think it could have been approached in a more appropraite manner. someone with 13 posts saying things like that to someone with 13...HUNDRED is a little risky and just asking for trouble. yes Rowdy is one of the resident smart***es around here, and we all know it and like him for it.

i anxiously await rowdy's reply here....

Above is the question you posed, in case you forgot - the only question you posed. My four threads offered a pile of good insight into the answer to said question, if not specific answers to some unasked question about your MARAUDER.

You aren't worth getting riled up over. Meatman, on the other hand... where's that rascal?

With all of the firefighters around this forum, it's no wonder that it never flames up too much...

IMHO, this thread should be locked. There was a question, it was answered, everyone should be happy. No need to start spraying Nepalm ...

BTW, I think that the meatman has been sent to Santa Maria to sit on the jury of a child-molestation case ...
