Default Another frozen road trip

Went down to Pensacola this weekend...it was 44 when I left Atlanta, and 76 when I got there. Hooked up with a couple friends and had a great time! Cold beer, fresh seafood, and a visit to the ex-USS Oriskany, an old aircraft carrier they are going to sink as a reef. Took some pics for an article I'm writting for a naval history magazine, so I get to write the whole thing off as a business trip It was great to ride around again in a t-shirt, and without a helmet, cruising around the beach checking out the storm damage and the ladies.
Woke up and it was 36 with a bitter cold wind. Got colder and colder as the day went on, and it was only 19 when I got back home, with a wind chill below zero. It was so cold and windy when I got back home that I had to pull the choke out a bit to keep the bike running at stop lights! Brrrrr....I was layered up well and pretty warm, but my hands were cold. I guess it's time to get some electric gear, especially gloves.

Staying home next weekend, then riding down to Jacksonville for the Super Bowl to watch my Patriots take on the Eagles! Whoooohoooo!

Now that's a dedicated rider. Sounds like a great trip, Doc.

On my way to work this morning, there was ONE motorcycle on the road. (A Honda)

As he passed me (going in the other direction), I checked the outside temperature ... -4°C (25°F) and it had been snowing over night. Where he was riding, the street had been cleared and salted, but ...

BBBRRRRRRR!!!
