Default Ever Ride a Sportbike in the Snow?

So, I rode into work this morning at 0530 hrs. I pulled out of my garage and as I sat, waiting for the door to close behind me while I pulled on my gloves, I noticed “precipitation”. It was cool but not freezing out and the precip was hard to distinguish – was it rain or wet snow?

Anyway, I rode the Hayabusa to work. Now that I’m sitting here three hours later, I’m looking out and watching the SNOW coming down.

I may have to leave the bike in the underground parking at work until this clears up…

Good thing I wore my warm, GoreTex lined Ballistic suit and not the leathers or mesh gear.

Poor Busa. I'd be scared to ride a bike in the snow.

Well, the snow is coming down harder and it's now sticking on the ground. I'll be driving home in the car with the G-F. No worries...

Mmmmmmmmmm, yes I FONDLY remember the days when I used to take my katana out in the snow. Very intresting riding when it is snowing out... I had to ride a half an hour to get home from school right as the sun was setting... It had snowed while I was in class and what did I see when I came out??? A foot of snow!!!! Mmmmmmmm... Yeah, I had this news chopper follow me home lol, wonder what exactly they were waiting for.... But the roads were okay, man was I lucky...

Nice! I'd ride the Busa home, just to say I did it! Cold wet snow can be fun, and there isn't any traffic!

That's funny as hell. Smart people though, they would have been the first people on the "scene" had you not been so lucky... You should have ****ed with them by staying out so long that they'd have to refeul.

Ya, but I'll be going up the Crest on the Gixxer this weekend to play in the snow. I know it's SoCal, but that should count, right?

I've done my time in the snow on two wheels, usually not by my choice. I've been caught in the Sierras several times late in the riding season! Nothing like heading downhill in a hurry on a bike!

lol. I would be the one to ride a bike in the snow given I had enough money to fix my poor toy after dropping it a couple times.

Just like your snowboard, forget the bike has brakes and watch how you lean!

I rode right thru winter last year, one time it took me two hours to travel 4 miles.
Thing is you can't use the front brake or the bike drops, you can't use the back brake because if you take your feet off the ground the bike drops,so to slow down you use engine braking and your heels!Loads of fun once you are used to it.
Also rode on ice, done killer slides and only dropped once all winter, with no damage done, YEE HAA!
