Default A couple quick questions

I don't really know the basics of forums.

1-How do I put a pic (or even modify) my avatar? Since the site changed, I'm a little lost.

2-What do the 5 little bikes under my user name mean? I have one bike half red and the rest black. hmmmmmm.......

3-How do I put in quotes? I tried once, but it came out as "Thread Salad."

Forum 101:

Putting a picture in your Avitar:
1) Get a picture, drawing, whatever, that is about 100 x 100 pixels.
2) Store it in JPG or PNG format on your hard drive
3) Click on User CP, then click Edit Avitar
4) Click the Browse button, and browse to the file saved in step 2
5) Click the Save Changes button.

The bikes indicate how much you've posted. With 408 posts, you've got 5 black bikes, and are starting to move into the red. Keep posting, and you'll get more red.

To quote someone, click on the button below their post. You'll then be forwarded to an entry screen, where their text is already quoted.

Hope this helps...

At the moment, I'm on WinXP ... (the machine is dual-boot, either WinXP or Linux).

My laptop is configured with WinXP as the basic OS, with VirutalPCs setup with various customer configurations (WinXP) and Linux in a virtual box.

Both boxes are 2.0GHz Pentiums with 1 GB RAM. In the desktop I've got about 190 GB disk space, and the laptop has 60 GB internally and 160 GB external (over Firewire).

On all of these - I'm running the Firefox browser - I really DON'T like Internet Exploiter.

Everything is on cable at the moment, but I also have 56Mbps WiFi here at home, when I feel like working in in another room.

Internet connection is ADSL 768 down / 128 up.

Any other questions
