|  Need help with some torque specs vs800
Hi everyone - I haven't posted here in awhile, since I sold my vs800 last year. A friend of mine still has a 1993 Intruder vs800, and I'm going to help him change his front tire and change his oil. He usually lets a REAL mechanic do it, but I think he wants me to help him. Anyway, can someone provide some info regarding the torque specs for the front axle and the pinch bolt? Also, anything (torque-related) regarding the oil drain plug and filter. I did all that stuff when I had mine, but it's been awhile and I forgot all the info. We plan to use dyna beads to balance the front tire. It's tubed - so I guess that's okay. I plan to use 1 ounce - anyone know if that's enough? Hehe - I've already tried to cheat and checked out Dr. Bob's website, but I still need more info.  We're getting ready for our trip 9/16-9/20 to Deals Gap, The Snake, The Cherohala pkwy, etc - so maybe we'll see some of you there. TIA guys - and ride safe. |
