Default Rider Down-Im ok but the bikes not

Well it happened to me today, after 3 yrs and 20K miles I went down today. I knew it would happen one day just a matter of when, where and how bad, well today was my day. As alway, wearing gear saved me, had I not had my jacket i would probably be in the hospital right now.

Anyway, here we go, long story made short. I was traveling down the road on a 4 lane road, I was on the inner lane at about 25mph when a car pulled out from a parking lot. I saw him coming, I tried to swerve but didnt want to go to far to go into oncoming traffic, I swerved and sped up but it wasnt enough. He hit me on my right side, at my saddle bag. Bike went down, I followed and slid about 40-50 feet. I put most of my weight on my boots and shoulders knowing I had nothing protective on my legs. the jacket took the slide, right arm and shoulder took some damage but saved me. helmet never hit the ground that I know of.

Bike is pretty much gone from what I can tell, they will inspect it monday. I walked away with only a small scrape smaller than a penny on my right knee. right ankle is a little sore but other than that I am good. Mad as can be though, the other driver admitted fault to the officer, said he never saw me. According to the officer he was a 70yr old man with nothing on his record-ever.

Goes to show why you should always have gear, had I not had my jacket im sure i would be in the hospital with major road rash on my shoulder and right arm and I do plan on getting all new gear and I will be wearing full gear all the time from here on once i get a new bike, or this one fixed whatever they do.

Damage doesnt look to bad in pics but in person its bad, and something is twisted, weather it be the frame or the forks but something is twisted
