Default First "long" ride.

I went on my first long ride. When I say long ride, I mean I left at 9:30 am and came back home after 6:30 pm.

Me, a friend, and his wife went riding across Alabama to Lake Martin. We took Alabama hwy 50 which has a few twists and turns I am not use to. At one point when I was attempting, (also the last time) to keep up with my buddy I took a sharp corner and felt my stomach come up into my throat.

When I took the corner and had to lean farther than I ever have, I found my self about 3 inches from the center line at the apex of the turn. At the same time a car pulling a trailer was on the line from the other direction. I just knew he was going to run over my tires.

Once I was up and running straight I dropped my speed about 15 miles an hour and let him get away. We met up at a gas station where I went to make sure everything was still clean and dry. :0)

Fun ride but I soon learned "I'm not as good as everyone else."

On the plus side, I ended up spending 2 + hours talking with a lady at cracker barrell. Found out we live much closer to each other than we knew.
