| Muscle Biker ![]() | Prices on Tuesday, 26-Oct-2004: Gasoline (95 octane - "normal" here) costs CHF 1.50 per liter = CHF 5.68 per gallon = US$4.73 per gallon. Diesel is CHF 1.60 per liter = ... = US$ 5.04 per gallon. And in Germany gas is even more expensive, due to the "environmental" taxes. Diesel is about the same. In France, Diesel is a few cents cheaper, but I don't like stopping in France (they all talk so funny there).

| 1.95 in northern VA/Washington DC! I hate this damn gas price war. If I had it my way, the price of gas would be back under a buck like when I was in high school. From what I hear, we make enough oil in the US to be completely self sufficient, but its our dependency on foreign oil that makes the prices so bad. Then does anyone else NOT see that if we just supplied ourselves we could have the gas prices at whatever we wanted? Perhaps my mind works to logically to understand their reasoning.
