Default My summer of riding has been ruined

I dislocated my ankle and broke my leg a couple of weeks ago. Wish I could say I was doing something adventurous, but I was actually just walking through my friend's backyard over Memorial Day weekend, and took a misstep down some stairs and collapsed on top of my left foot. When I got up, the foot was pointing 90 degrees to the left of where it should have been.

Surgery last week, lots of time in bed, and the Bandit just sits in the driveway.

Bummed--I had a tour of the Western US planned; through 7 National parks and through every state west of the Rockies. I won't be back on my feet until late August, which won't leave much time left in the riding season.

On the bright side, my prognosis is good--I should be as good as new once I'm healed.
