That is an amazing SV. I like the full fairing on the SV-S; the bikini alone looks nasty. Also, that high mount exhaust is the best I've seen. Usually, a high mount is ugly, but that short can mounted up high shows off the swingarm without grabbing attention.

I have the same top box on my DRZ. Mounting it on the rear seat is pretty neat.

It's my daily driver. More than 26,000 on the clock and counting.
Of course it cost less than a brand new Gixxer, but I did not say a new gixxer.
It just looks like a wannabe racebike, that's all. I know I don't want to own something that looks like something it's not.
Have seen enough Beamers with M3 or M5 sticker on the back, which really are a 3.20 or a 5.20 with some minor mods.

You cannot expect everybody to like your mod, and I'm just telling you I dislike it. Accept that.

I've noticed you've been quite opinionated recently.. for example the victory bike discussion, this one. Raining on everyone's parade huh?

I actually drive a Bimmer (the proper terminology is Bimmer for a four wheeled vehicle, Beemer refers to bikes), debadged.

The new ones come stock with full fairings

If anything, my bike resembles this bike. It happens to be a touring machine, not a "wannabe racebike". If I'd want it to look like a race bike I'd add "R/SS/S/RR" decals and "sponsor" stickers.

Speaking of racebikes, SVs make great ones for the "Lightweight Twin SuperStock" in WERA.

You have a nice looking bike. It is also individual. I met myself twice today in about two hours. Some days even more. Mine is completely stock except for the fender eliminator.

The 2nd Gen. SV still has a trellis frame. It is just squared-off instead of round. Here's my '03 SV1000S. First year of the 2nd gens. First year of the 996cc version.

Hit 30,000 miles a couple weeks ago. Haven't been able to do as much riding as I want lately.

I've got a trail ride coming up next weekend. 70 miles of gravel and 2-3 water crossings. I think I'm gonna have to remove my lower fairing for ground clearance.

Most gravel is fine on street tires. Although, freshly graded gravel can be menacing.

Avon Distanzias are great on gravel and are available in 17 inch diameter.
