|  Work is sending me to California for a week, so...
of course I am going to ride instead of fly! They are cutting me a check for what air fair would have cost, so that will cover the cost of my gas. I love being in a plane, but hate the whole airline experience, so I will be happier anyways. Four days of solitude getting there is just what I need to restore my sanity, and a good long road trip is just what I need after not being able to ride much for 7 months while I fought cancer. Can't wait! I LOVE a road trip! Especially this time of year where it is not too hot going across the dessert yet. I need to take a fairly direct route out, but depending on how many days off I can take after the conference I will probably take my time getting back, seeing if I can get from Pomona CA to Atlanta GA without touching any road with more than two lanes.  Now, to decide which bike to take...the Electra Glide, which is pretty heavy for my still-recovering leg and back but is a comfortable as a Cadillac, or the easy to handle Intruder which is certainly a lot less comforable... |
