Default Don't start you bike unless your sitting on it.

It was a close one. I've been getting into a bad habit of starting the bike without me on it while gearing up. Well had it in neutral (the light was on). Started it and it somehow clicked into first gear, as I released the clutch it lurched forward and died because of the kick stand switch. But it moved forward enough to lift up the kickstand. Fortunately I caught the bike and didn't drop it. Don't start your biek unless your sitting on it regardless of the safety switches.....can't count on them. Lesson learned for me.
