I had been searching for a good pair of all season motorcycle pants for a while that would meet a long list of criteria points: They to be comfortable in the summer They to be comfortable in cold weather They need to be water proof They should have some armor protection And they should be reasonably priced I can say now that I have finally found a pair that meets all those and then some. My Alter Ego's are great for the %%%%ty spring weather we have been having in the North East. Wet and rainy conditions are no problem with the waterproof liner inside. The pants keep me warm as well. I used to wear long johns under insulated jeans, under riding pants! Now I just need a decent pair of casual pants under my Alter Ego's and I'm ready to go. I haven't had a chance yet to try them out in the summer but I've talked to several other riders who own a pair and they've all said the zippered vents that start at the thighs and work all they way around to the other thigh, are excellent at giving you enough airflow. The armor in the knees is made of dual density foam - not the best thing in the world but at least it's something. There's also some padding in the hip area as well which I consider an added bonus. The price is decent as well. Overall, if you're looking for the perfect 'everything' pants - these are it.
