Default First ride in a year and a half

Took the first ride of the season today, and also the first ride since before I left for Afghanistan. I can't believe it's been 1.5 years since I put it away. It started right up and ran and handled great.

I had a blast and not a bit of trouble getting back in the groove. You could say it was just like riding a bike. HAHA. Got about 70 miles in today. Would have been more, but I had other crap to do. Damn you, responsibility.

Anyway, just a reminder for those that store thier bikes. You should do it regularly anyway, but again a reminder.

Check the air in your tires, my front was 16 psi low and the back was almost 10 psi low.
Check your oil and the function of lights (headlamp, turn, break, markers, etc.)
Check the operation of your brakes, especially hydraulic operated brakes. Make sure they are not spongy or overly hard to operate.
Also check for leaks and make sure all bolt on items are secure and tightened down.

These are just the minimum things.

Here's to a safe and fun riding season.
