|  Considering buying a Suzuki SV1000S...
I'm relatively new to motorcycling, just joined this forum and have previously only ridden a Katana 600. I got my license via the MVA safety course and am looking for a bike that I would keep for the longterm, and that is somewhere between a sportbike and a cruiser. I've narrowed my wish to three bikes...Suzuki SV1000S ($8,600), Yamaha V-Max($11,000), and the Aprilia Tuono ($10,500) but am currently leaning toward the SV1000S. (I realize Aprilia has only 4 dealers within 150 miles of my house, and maintenance costs would be excessive, but it's hard not to like this bike.) I've read through most of the articles in this forum and liked the honest commentary most people give. As such, I wanted to get some of your opinions on the SV1000S, and to find out if the rumors on "clutch" or "valve" noise I've read are true on this model.
