| Hi, my name is Robert. I live in Columbia, MO. I have owned 7 motorcycles, been riding since 1984(missed a couple of years). Been in three accidents that required a hospital visit, one of those being a two week stay. Currently I'm working on my Katana, valve adjustments, carb syncing, thorough clean up, removing the red & gold striping from the plastic parts of the body but I'm leaving the tank alone. I have replaced the oem mirrors with EMGO 2003 GSXR1000 mirrors. I have replaced the oem turn indicators with flushmount indicators, the rears I believe the are from an older CBR, the front ones are actually Ford truck cab clearance lights converted to turn indicators. K&N individual air filters. Factory Stage 1 carb kit. Pirelli MTR03 and MTR04 Dragon GT Tires. I like to ride alone. I have riden with others but never enjoyed it. Depending on my mood when I ride I might ride fast or I might just go for a nice even paced ride through the country side, I tend to stay away from town. I believe in wearing a helmet even if riding in a no helmet required state. In one of the wrecks I was in if I hadn't been wearing a full face helmet I wouldn't of had a face. I don't wear shorts or flip-flops or go barefooted when I ride, I wear my TEKNIC Boots & either BDUs or blue jeans. Sometimes I wear a jacket & gloves but usually just wear a t-shirt(with my pants & boots & helmet, incase there are any smartalecks). I will try to be helpful with any info I might have. |

| Newbie | Glad to see there is another Big Kat owner here. Beautiful looking bike! '93 1100F here. I'm about to embark in either replacing the motor or rebuilding it in my bike. It's only got 15,000 miles but it sat for the last 4 years w/o being started once, so everything dried up inside. I drove it about 300 miles before the #3 spark plug showed oil. Stage 3 jet kit, individual K&N's, and a Vance & Hines full exhaust here. Again, welcome, and glad you made it here!

| Hello again. Been without internet connection for awhile, I am now on dial-up. Glad to see the place is still here & going strong. Current Kat situation is the gold & red pin-striping has been removed, I removed the individual K&N air filters & put the original air box back on which I like because it kills the sound of the motor coming through the carbs & gave it the lower growl back. The exhaust is laying on the ground next to the Kat, going to repaint the exhaust in the morning, replacing the exhaust gaskets with new ones, oil & filter have been replaced. Replaced the rear wheels bearings this summer, the inner one came out in pieces. Did not do much riding this past year, money is still an issue so when I could ride it was for a short distance. Hope everyone has been okay with no probelms. |

| LOL. That was quite a hiatus. Good to have you and your experience back.
