Default WOW! What a difference...

Not doing a commercial here, but I wanted to see what my RPM's were registering. Been having some probs with stalling, and had to keep the bike at half choke for about 30 mins or so after starting to keep it from stalling out. So, got a Tiny Tach, and hooked it up. This morning, had to do the usual routine of half choke for about 30 mins until it responded without any stalls. At about half way point of my ride, I pulled over to get a reading. At idle, the tach was registering 790 RPM's. Was fluctuating between 790 and 810 actually. I turned the idle screw about half a turn increasing idle speed, and she purred very nicely between 990 and 1010. On my way I went, at red lights checking every now and then, she was at 1010 and up to 1100. But the tach refreshes only every 3 seconds or so, so the 1100 didn't worry me. With this adjustment, I noticed better throttle response, better shifting, a decrease in my infamous popping on decel, and a bike that didn't sound like she wanted to lay down and die at a stop. Good purchase for me. Easy install. Grounded to a bolt under the seat, wrapped the lead around the plug wire a few times, and zipped-tied (temporarily) around the frame tube just beside the seat. For the $35, did what I wanted. Just thought I would tell all.
