Default Why does my bike feel shorter?

I wasn't going to even ask, but if I don't I'll have to add it to my list of things to worry about when riding the bike. I don't need to make that list longer.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but my bike feels shorter. Usually I just rest on the balls of my feet at stops. Today I'm flat footed when stopped. I also bottomed out over a speed bump. The bike is lowered so that wasn't totally unexpected, but I haven't done it before. Then on the way home I scraped a floor board on a corner. Now Dh always scrapes when he rides my bike, but I never come close. Tires were a little low, but adding air didn't make it feel any different

So, Do bikes shrink or am I just getting senile? ... or worse, getttin fat ... OMG it's not even the holidays yet! I Guess I'm wondering if the shocks or some other parts I don't know about could have something to do with it.
