we're about 2.14 right now; do I even want to think about the price of gas for next summer?

Calm down, Rick!

Well, before all this nonsense started we were at 1.299-1.499. I'd be flabbergasted to see it get that low five years later.

To bad the price of diesel isn't coming down the way gas is, it's nice that most of us are paying less at the pump, but the big rigs that do all the hauling of our day to day goods are still paying big money to fill up, and they have to pass that cost on to us.

the only problem is - there is so much speculation in oil it could easily rise to $70 - $80 again by next summer.

I just bought diesel yesterday for 2.73 gal on the PA turnpike. I think it's been the first time I filled up for less than $100 in a long long time

Today, for the first time in several years I saw gas being sold for under $2.00 a gallon. But it was the cheap gas sold at the local Stop n Rob. I don't think it will stay this low for long. By this summer, gas will be back to $3.00 a gallon.
