Just ignore Madura - he's studying to be a laywer, so they have been giving him this medication to kill off most of his braincells (especially those that deal with logic and ethical behaviour).

We are like a big family here, Uncle Bob is the head of the house, and Louis is his right-hand man (no, not like THAT!). SuzukiGirl and TheMeatManLandry are the mods (they are real cool - they pay me to say that). With a few execptions, everyone else here is cool too.

Basic survival rule for this site - don't promote stunting on public roads, and don't promote other dangerous, illegal or immoral behavior. (The last one is somewhat difficult, considering that most people here are US American, and they have a bit of a problem when you start talking about shagging). For example, at www.gsx1400.org, the name of the "Off Topic Forum" can't be published here, since it would b e considered pornographic (it's a vulgar name of a man's reproductive organ).

This is sooo cool! Another GSX1400 owner! I have a blue K3. Since the picture was taken, I have added a motor-protector, and will be replacing the mirrors on Saturday. At the moment, most of what I see in my mirrors are my own arms, so I'm having mirrors mounted at the end of the handlebars. I'll post some new pictures when the work is done!

See, nobody likes me here. Bah.

Also, Inspiron, 2 points to make, even though I think you were kidding:

1) Try taking the LSAT. If you don;t know logic, you're screwed. I was picked as a research assistant for my ability to think outside the box and maintain a logical process.

2) If you knew how much grief I get because of my ethics you wouldn't even make that joke. I really catch it because I say that lawyers should not be in this for money and that we should never advertise.

@Madura: Yes, I was kidding. Remember ... my sister is a lawyer and has passed the bar in California and in Oregon. I know what you are going through, and I wish you good luck, strong nerves and a good credit rating to get through it.

However, I think everyone has had there "issues" with lawyers in the past, like how a 5-minute telephone conversation gets billed as a 1-hour consultation, and how the trial lawyers are making life in the USA unlivable, by suing for millions in damages when their client is too stupid to take responsibilites for their own actions.

(Warning: The beverage in this cup may be hot). The result is, you can't get a hot cup of coffee anywhere in the USA, since everyone serves it lukewarm so that they won't be sued when some a$$ spills it on their lap.

If you are going to be a hard-working district attorney, convicting criminals and putting them behind bars, great! (But please don't throw the book at me when I pass through your town doing 25mph too much on the highway! )

Meat changed his avatar again. I liked the bucktoothed dog!

Inspiron: I am one of the few law students who are voting for an law that limits attorney fees in med/mal cases. I'm also catching hell for it.

As for that McDonald's case, you might change your mind if you knew more about it. That case is very misunderstood and used as an example of something it doesn't really represent.

That McDonald's had over 250 complaints about the temperature of the coffe before that lady spilled hers. Nothing was done despite the fact that so many said the coffee was too hot. She suffered second and third degree burns on her thighs and genitals. She had multiple reconstructive surgeries and months of very painful skin grafts.

While the initial judgement was for 8 million, I think, that was reduced to a couple million, or maybe just over a million. I don't think that's a lot considering what she will deal with the rest of her life.

And I want to do sports law and franchise agreements.

Beat me to that one, Madura, but you probably summarized it more succinctly than I would have That should serve you well in your chosen profession.

I'd also like to say, as much grief as I usually give attorneys, they are subject to the same 3% rule as the rest of the world. 3% of them are snakes, and give the rest a bad name. Its easy to poke fun at someone who charges you $1000 (US) for making a couple of phone calls and filing some papers, but what you're paying for is his knowledge of what calls to make and what papers to file, not the time it took him to do it (although that's usually how its billed). To draw a parallel, electricians and plumbers charge a bundle, too. But you can't do what they can, so you pay it.
