|  Harley 105th Celebration started today
The kick off party was today and the events go through to Sunday. I wasn't planning on going to any of this because basically Milwaukee is going to be friggin nuts with motorcycles all over the place. I kept out of the way for the 100th anniversary too, but it was fun watching the bikes roll in to town on I-94 by the thousands. Hey, I'll go to the new Harley museum some other time. What surprised me though (basically because I just don't pay attention) is that my goofy little town Waukesha is having a biker bash the same time as Milwaukee, and it looks like a pretty darn good event. There's going to be music, food, beer, and other stuff going on from Thursday through Sunday. We even have a website here. The Harley dealer near me in Oconomowoc is going all out for four days too. Their website and schedule of events is here. I plan on going out Saturday to watch the ride of vintage bikes led by Jean Davidson on this route. Almost all of this is news to me because I have kind of tuned out the hoopla up to now. But because so much is happening just a few miles from my house I can see that I'll won't be home much at all. If there's anyone else in this part if Wisconsin that like me hasn't been following this too closely you might want to look over these sites in case there's something of interest. |
